Since 2005, Tri Star CNC Services LLC has delivered FANUC repair and CNC field service to manufacturers across the United States. Founded by industry veterans Robin Lyman, Gary Schoner and Bruce Felix, Tri Star was created to solve a common issue with CNC support. When equipment failed, end users were often stuck between the machine builder and the OEM with no clear path forward.
Tri Star stepped in to offer in-field CNC machine repair and in-house FANUC part support under one roof. Our combined approach allows faster turnarounds, fewer service delays and solutions backed by real-world experience.

Founders & Legacy
Robin Lyman and Gary Schoner brought over four decades of CNC repair experience to Tri Star. Their backgrounds included hands-on roles with Yamazen, Mori Seiki, Giddings & Lewis and Kearney & Trecker, companies specializing in precision machining and advanced manufacturing systems.
They teamed up with Bruce Felix, a former FANUC field technician who also led the electronics department during his time with the company. Bruce contributed 15 years of FANUC-focused repair expertise to help shape Tri Star’s in-house service capabilities.
Robin and Gary have since retired. The company maintains their approach to technical service and honest support through every part repair and on-site visit.
FANUC Repair & CNC Field Service
Tri Star CNC Services offers in-house repair and nationwide field service support for multiple FANUC systems and CNC equipment. Our team handles everything from part replacement to full unit restoration using industry-tested tools and load testing stations built for precision.

When repair is needed, customers can submit an RMA form and ship the faulty part to our McHenry facility. While repairs are completed, temporary components may be provided to reduce downtime.
All refurbished FANUC parts come with one year of warranty coverage and pass full load testing before return. We stand behind every part and repair from our shop.
