About Electronic Repair Services from TriStar CNC
Tri Star CNC Services, LLC is an independent electronic repair company specializing in the repair of FANUC parts and GE FANUC CNC controls, servo drives, spindle amplifiers, power supplies, I/O printed circuit boards and other FANUC control related parts.
Tri Star CNC Services can supply custom made replacement cables used in various CNC machine applications. Tri Star CNC Services, LLC also provides field service support for several types and makes of CNC machines, this service includes all aspects of machine repair, control, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and installation. Our Controls/Electronic Repair Group is located in McHenry, IL and our Field Service Group is located in Waukesha, WI.
Tri Star CNC Services, LLC was established in July of 2005 as an expansion of Associated Machine Tool Service, LLC. Associated Machine Tool Service was founded on October 1, 2003 by Robin Lyman and Gary Schoner. Associated Machine Tool Service, LLC was an independent contract service company specializing in the repair and maintenance of CNC machining centers and turning centers in Wisconsin and Illinois. Robin and Gary have a combined total of 60+ years experience in field service for CNC machines. This experience has been with both OEMs and distributors.
As the electronic repair service grew it became apparent there was a need for a reliable and cost effective source for replacement FANUC and GE FANUC control, servo and spindle assemblies existed. As with many things in life, timing is key and at the same time Associated Machine Tool Service, LLC recognized this need, Robin and Gary met Bruce Felix. Bruce had 15 years experience with FANUC as both a field service engineer and as the lead technician in the electronic repair department. Bruce designed and built many of the test benches at FANUC and also started to write many of the repair procedures and quality standards currently in use. Needless to say this was a perfect fit and Tri Star CNC Services, LLC was founded.
Tri Star CNC Services invested the time and money in developing test stands and repair benches to start repairing FANUC and GE FANUC electronic assemblies. 
By October 1st of 2005 Tri Star CNC Services had test stands and repair benches to support the repair of Alpha and Alpha i series servo and spindle drives, AC digital and analog spindle drives, AC digital series (S,C & D) servo drives and 0 series controls, 21 series controls and 16i and 18i controls. Within a short period of time the need for a service such as ours was confirmed and we also recognized the need to focus on the electronic repair part of the business. In order to meet our customers’ requirements and to maintain our quality and delivery expectations it became necessary to expand our product offerings.
We continue to expand our repair capabilities; we now have test benches to support the FANUC controls from the System 6 control thru the 16i, 18i, 21i and 0i series controls as well as all the various power supplies, servos and spindle units used with these systems. Tri Star CNC Services, LLC is the premiere repair house for FANUC and GE FANUC assemblies.
